Shooting Star

So goes the verse from the song "Shooting Star" which it repeats over and over. And how fittingly it describes what we feel for the EB Babes, and as the tagline of this blog states, they are like shooting stars.

Dancing to this song, and wearing the red-and-blue color scheme of Pop Cola, the EB Babes open the grand (and final) game of Pinoy Henyo Pop Cola edition.

But before Pinoy Henyo, there also was the Weekly Finals of Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) which the EB Babes open with "S.O.S." by Jordin Sparks. Of the five finalists, two of them inlclude participation of EB Babes in their act. In one, Molly, in a beautiful pure white dress, perform an interpretative number with a male partner while the contestant sang "Luha" by Aegis. And in another act, the EB Babes play the role of adoring admirers of the contestant who sang Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing".

In the jackpot round, Anjo calls the EB Babes "Russians", and he says that that's because their red-and-blue outfits somehow reminds him of the Russian flag. The contestant selects No. 4 which Joyce was holding, and Anjo says, "Si Joyce ito ... from Moscow."

But before revealing the box contents, Joey said he wanted to take a peek first. So, with Joyce shielding the box from the cameras and the contestant, Joey takes a look. After a couple of seconds, Anjo joked, "Pare, parang ang tagal naman ng pintahan dyan," and Joey acts as if he and Joyce were kissing.

They then opened the box to reveal a good prize of "9 Months".

Cleopat-Ria

Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) starts today with a scorching sexy number by the EB Babes dancing to Mariah Carey's "Obsessed". They also bring in colored flags in one contestant's act, a baton twirler.

Then in the jackpot round, Anjo and Joey continued with yesterday's "Big Night" theme and wants a sexy dance while the winning contestant sang. And since the contestant used to work in Egypt, Joey says some of the EB Babes looked like Egyptians.

The contestant selected Ria for her jackpot prize, because she says she looks like an Egyptian. Anjo asked if Cleopatra is from Egypt and Joey says, "Reyna ng Ehipto", and they call Ria as Cleopatra. Joey then says Cleopatra dances well, especially if the song is from Aegis, so they asked the contestant to sing her song again while Ria danced.

And as Ria danced, Joey shouts again, "Raid! Raid!" Anjo runs again, taking the singing contestant with him. "Oh bakit yan ang dinala mo?" Joey asked laughing.

"Sorry, sorry," Anjo says and runs out again, this time taking Ria with him.

Joey then calls them back and Anjo and Ria comes back with their heads and faces covered in a red sheet. "Talagang raid na raid ang dating, may mga takip," Joey said laughing.

After KSP, Steph and Ann joins the EB Dabarkads Pinoy Henyo lineup. Both of them were called in, and both of them got the slime. And as the orange goo was falling onto Steph, Joey says, "kamukha pa ni Rosalinda, oh" referring to Carla Abellana who plays Rosalinda in GMA's primetime drama. Though she's been in the chamber before, this was Steph's first time to get the slime.

Fire Burning and A Senior's Nobody

The EB Babes were like pink fire as they scorched the dancefloor in their pink outfits with a spirited Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) opener, dancing to Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning".

Then Maricorn plays a damsel-in-distress role in one of the contestants' act, a nunchaku exhibition with a short skit, where the contestant fights off hoodlums.

The winning contestant, however, was a 70 year old lady who danced to The Wonder Girls' "Nobody", which leads Pia to say that KSP means "Kahit Seniors Pwede". Come jackpot round, the winner chooses Ann's number, and Joey quickly gets an idea to have a mini-showdown between Ann and the contestant. They did so, with the two of them dancing to "Nobody" to the delight of everyone.

And with the help of Ryan Agoncillo, Jimmy Santos and the X3 box Ann was holding, the contestant also ended up having a record-breaking jackpot prize.

Ann then joins the Pinoy Henyo lineup, but her name was never picked, so she goes slime-free this time around.

Belly Dancing

Looking sporty with their short red shorts and cheerleader's sports jacket bearing EB's letters, the EB Babes open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) with a lively, striking number, dancing to "We Walk" by The Ting Tings. The number began and ended with the Kawasaki bikes.

In the contest proper, Saida, Ann, Molly and Ria don their red outfits with gold skirt ornaments to provide backup to one of the contestants, belly dancing to the Pussycat Dolls' "Jai Ho".

Then in the jackpot round, Joey asked the contestant who she thinks is the best belly dancer among the EB Babes. She quickly says, "Si Hopia" and they call down Ann for a belly dancing showdown with her.

Joey borrowed one of the contestant's hip scarf for Ann to wear (Ann's already changed back to the sports outfit) and hands it to Anjo, indicating he doesn't want to go near girls. Anjo says, "ako nga kahapon nilagnat," referring to yesterday's "kissing scenes" with Steph and Joyce. And as he was saying it, Ann gave him slight slap in the butt.

"Aray ko, pinalo ako," Anjo laughs.

They then proceeded with the showdown, dancing to "Jai Ho".  "Aba... aba... aba..." Joey kept saying, visibly impressed.

After the showdown they continue with the game, and the contestant selects Ria's number for her jackpot prize. Joey says he thought that it would be Ria that the contestant would choose for the belly dancing showdown instead of Ann. He then calls down all the girls so they would all belly dance before the break.

Then in Pinoy Henyo, Joyce and Saida were in the lineup, and both of their names were picked. Joey calls Joyce, "Maputi lang pero mahirap ... mahirap kausap" and Saida, "merong AIDS sa pangalan". Joyce got away without being slimed but Saida got it all.

Fame! Remembering Madil + Ria Madrigal!

"Remember, remember, remember ... remember my name!" the song from the new remake of the movie "Fame" by Naturi Naughton starts and the EB Babes, in bright orange and black, deliver a dazzling modern dance number to open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP).

Then, with one of the contestants acting as a DJ and doing a human beatbox number, Angel, Mergene, Joyce and Maricorn lend a hand by being the dancing party girls in his makeshift dance club.

Also another contestant displayed his singing and guitar playing talents by serenading Lougee and Belle in a makeshift park. But in the end, he opted for a cross-dressing Kim Dinosaur.

In the jackpot round, Joey and Anjo asked the winning contestant who among the EB Babes most resembles his girlfriend and the contestant says that one of the girls has the same name as his girlfriend. Joey and Anjo then tried to guess the name, trying out names like "Maricorn", "Angel", "Teri Onor", "Ann". But then  the contestant says that it wasn't anyone up on the stage. "Pambihira ka, wala naman pala dyan, niloloko [mo kami]," Joey says. It turns out he was referring to Madel, who is not with the EB Babes anymore.

"Madel!" Joey and Anjo exclaims simultaneously. "Ah, si Madil! Wala na si Madel," Joey says.

After the contestant selected the number 1 which Saida was holding, they asked the contestant's girlfriend, Madel, who was there in the studio audience, to take Saida's place. Saida went over to her and gave her the number while she took the contestant's seat. They then asked the contestant to repeat his choice while Madel was among the EB Babes holding the number 1 box.

Other portions of the show include the Pure Gold groceries giveaway where the girls helped in handing out the groceries to lucky members of the audience. And in On The Spot Jackpot (OTSJ), Mergene, Ann, Saida, Joyce and Belle were the choices for the contestants. Joyce held the P30,000 top prize.

Then in Pinoy Henyo, Ria and Steph join the dabarkads lineup. Ria's name got picked and Joey asked, "Eto ba ang tinatawag nyong Ehra Madrigal ... Ehra Madrigal ng EB Babes?"

"Oo, eto nga," Tito answers.

The contestants couldn't guess the word and thus Ria gets her first taste of the Pinoy Henyo slime.  Steph's name was not picked.

One, Two, Three, Thank You So Much

The EB Babes celebrate Maricorn's birthday (her birthday was actually yesterday, Oct. 12) by making her the centerpiece and focus of their fun opening number to Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP). With the girls wearing black and white and shades of grey, except for Corn, who had on a bright red jacket, they danced to Britney Spears' "3 (One, Two Three)".

During the contest, Allan K. asked one of the contestants who her idols were among the dancers, and she said that among the Sexbomb dancers it would be Rochelle and among the EB Babes it is Molly. Allan K calls in Molly and let the two of them have a short "showdown".

In the jackpot round, Anjo announces Maricorn's birthday and adds a "trivia": "Kaya pala walang boyfriend yan, nahihirapan ang mga manliligaw ... [dahil] English speaking."

And because they were joking about the "kili-kili" method of the contestant when he was collecting the coins, Anjo and Bitoy got an opportunity to tease Angel when the contestant picked her. "Speaking of the power," Anjo said.

Then in the 3 Dekads ng Dabarkads Raffle Promo, Joey greets Maricorn as she was about to toss the entries. She replies, "Thank you so much!" and Joey says, "Ah, syanga pala, sa mga hindi nakaka-alam, English-speaking po itong si Maricorn." And on the other side, he calls Mergene "Miss Hong Kong" and askes her for her birthdate. "November 4 po," she says.

In On The Spot Jackpot (OTSJ), Belle, Saida, Ann, Mergene and Angel held the prize boxes the contestants will choose from, and it happens that Mergene once again held the top prize.

Then Joyce, Molly and Steph join the Pinoy Henyo lineup. Molly's name was the first one picked, but she got away safe as the contestants were able to guess the word. Joyce's and Steph's names weren't picked.

G is for Girl Gugulatin

In loose pants, sneakers, vests and white tank tops the EB Babes open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) with a hoppin' hip-hop number to the song "G is for Girl" by Ciara.

In the jackpot round, Vic plays the "hopia game" again and shouts "Hay!" which got Ann hitting Ria on the forehead with the prize-box that she was holding. "Nananakit ito... hwag kang nananakit ng kapwa," Vic tells Ann, then startles her again, making her drop the box altogether.

And when they asked the contestant which number he'd like, he chose number 4, which was Ann herself. "Naku!" Anjo exclaims and Vic said, "Kahapon pinili rin ito ... pinaka-mababa." But when they revealed the prize, it came out as "X3", which was the top prize. "Nakabawi sa Hopia!" Vic said.

Meanwhile, Molly, who Joey still calls "Teri", had a double-duty in the entries tossing in the 3 Dekads ng Dabarkads Raffle Promo. Also, in the Pinakamadaling Gameshow, Steph and Ria held props for one of the questions.

Then in Pinoy Henyo, Belle joins the lineup but her name was never picked. Then before the jackpot round of Pinoy Henyo, to commemorate Jimmy's birthday, Anjo brought in a large candle followed by Steph bringing in a cake.

Kiss My Swag

Dressed in their 2009 FHM Top 100 Party outfits, the EB Babes open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) with enticing moves as they dance to Ciara's "Kiss My Swag".

In the jackpot round, Joey asked the winning contestant, who was gay and huge at 6'4", "kung naging lalaki kang buong-buo, sino dyan (EB Babes) ang type mo?" and the contestant indicated Molly. Later on, Joey remarked that Molly was "malakas rin ang hatak ... attractive din sya."

The contestant then selected Ria's number for his jackpot prize, and Joey says about Ria, stating what most people have been noticing about her, "Eto si Madrigal, yung kamukha ni Madrigal" referring to Ehra Madrigal. But  then, he also adds that there are also similarities to Rochelle of Sexbomb.

Then in the 3 Dekads ng Dabarkads Raffle Promo, when Joey saw that it was Ria who's in the bakod where he's going to draw from, he says, "Ah, si Wild!" and told her to give a dance before tossing the entries. They also told Maricorn to do the same on the other end.

In On The Spot Jackpot (OTSJ) today, Saida, Molly, Angel, Ann and Mergene held the prize boxes. Angel got selected first, but Mergene held the top prize.

And in Pinoy Henyo, Mergene, who Joey called "ex-Miss Hong Kong", got her baptism of slime as she got the goo for the first time. Angel was also in the Pinoy Henyo lineup, but her name was never picked.

10! Paradiso Babes

Wearing loose T-shirts and pants, the EB Babes deliver a pumped-up number to open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) with "Patron Tequila" by the Paradiso Girls, and  leaves everyone's jaws dropping as they finished the number by pulling up and taking off their shirts, revealing sexy tube tops. Judge Shivaker declares that he almost had a heart attack and even gave the girls a score. "Ten bigay ko sa kanila, Ten!" he says.

In the jackpot round, Vic and Anjo were again teasing Ann, with Vic asking the contestant, "Gusto mo bang magpatulong kay Boleche?" and then later on, causing Ann to drop her box as they kept on startling her.

And as he did yesterday with Ann, before letting the contestant select a number, Anjo announces that it was Steph's birthday today. And just like yesterday, the birthday girl didn't get selected. It was Ria who was selected and she also got a new name from Anjo. "Loys," Anjo christens her, "Luisa talaga, pina-igsi na lang."

Then in Pinoy Henyo, Saida and Belle joins the lineup and Pia points to Saida when she got the immunity. Saida, however, was saved by the contestants. Belle, on the other hand, was not as fortunate as she got slimed when her name was picked and the contestants weren't able to guess the word.

Now, that was the way to end September.

Lets-See!

In sexy purple, the EB Babes perform a graceful jazz number to open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP). Then in the jackpot round, as they were entering the stage to present the numbers, Joey says, "Ang gaganda oh!" and then then adds, "Yung numero dos parang yan ang choice ko," referring to Maricorn who was holding the number 2 box. Then someone pointed out the contestant's girlfriend who was in the audience and Anjo said she looked like Maricorn so they asked Maricorn to stand beside her. The contestant then went on to select Maricorn's number as his jackpot prize.

When Joey asked Maricorn what she feels about the prize she was holding, she says, "Let's see!" and Joey makes a pun out of it, pretending to have heard "Leche!"

It turned out to be Maricorn's day as she also joins the dabarkads lineup for the first time in Pinoy Henyo. "Paborito ni Tito," Joey says and Tito adds, "Paborito ng Escalera brothers" when her name got picked. She went into the chamber, and as the contestants weren't able to guess the word, she got the slime.

Give It 2 Me Josie, Jessica and Angel White

Jonalyn's gone. It's now Josie... or is it Jessica?

Joyce got two new names from Vic Sotto today, being called "Josie" in the jackpot round of Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP), and then "Jessica" in Pinoy Henyo. "Wow, ayaw na nya ng Joyce," Allan K. says, and Vic replied, "Ay, sino yun?"

Also in the Pinoy Henyo lineup with Joyce was Angel, who Vic again referred to as "Bossing ng Kaputian". Her name got picked, was sent to the chamber and got the whole treatment.

As for the opening of KSP, the EB Babes perform to Madonna's "Give It 2 Me" in their ube-colored sundresses.

Angel White and 3x Pinoy Hopia

Eat Bulaga's Saturday opening production number presents a dance club that featured "Lady Yaya" (Michael V) as the DJ introducing the performers. And accompanying her and other DJ's were the EB Babes, back in their silver and black. Then in Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP), the girls presented another brilliant number, dancing to Kat De Luna's "Unstoppable".

In the Jackpot round, Vic calls Angel as "Angel White, anak ni Mr. White" (as opposed to Ruby calling her "Black Angel" the other day). "Bossing ng kaputian", Vic says, making a reference to the tag line of his new TV commercials with Tide detergent.

Then, in Pinoy Henyo, Ann joins the lineup but her name was never picked. However, all the three dabarkads who were picked (Pia, Kim and Lougee) got immunities and all three of them points to Ann, so she enters the chamber three times. She only got the goo once, though.

Stuck On Replay

The EB Babes open Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP) today with Sean Kingston's "Replay". Indeed, you'll keep your video player stuck on replay whenever you watch the EB Babes dance.

In Pinoy Henyo, Saida was among the lineup, and Wally points to her when his name (with a star) got picked. Saida got the slime.

Some choice quotes from today's show:

"Go Joyce! Yesss..." from Ruby and Paolo in Pinakamadaling Gameshow.

"Request, request, para kay Tito Sen ... Maricorn," Ruby says in the 3 Dekads ng Dabrakads raffle drawing as she selects Maricorn to do the entries tossing.

"Ang ganda nyan!" Joey says about Saida in Pinoy Henyo.

Henyo Babes

As the EB Babes begin their fourth year as a group, all seven girls join Jimmy Santos and Paolo Ballesteros in the Pinoy Henyo lineup, all dressed up and ready to enter the "Quarantine Chamber". Joyce got picked first, and without getting an immunity star, enters the chamber. The contestants failed to correctly guess the word, so she got the goo. Angel got picked next, and even though she got a star, she elected to enter the chamber herself. She got lucky though, as the contestants got it right. Molly was the third pick, and having a star, asked the audience who she should send to the chamber. The audience voted for Ann, so she was sent to the chamber. However, the contestants got it correct again and she was saved.

In the jackpot round of Kahit Sino Pwede (KSP), the winning contestant selected Belle's number, and Joey De Leon let Belle and the contestant sing a short duet of the song, "Open Arms".

In the 3 Dekads ng Dabarkads Raffle drawing, Joey asked the EB Babes help out in announcing the selected "bakod" and in tossing the raffle enties. Angel, Joyce, Saida and Molly helped out.

Pinoy Henyo: Joyce Escapes, Belle Gets The Goo

EB Babes Joyce and Belle joins the EB Dabarkads lineup in Pinoy Henyo. Both Belle and Joyce along with Julia went into the chamber, and while Joyce was able to escape, Belle and Julia got the goo.

Nobody, Nobody But You / Ann and Saida Gets The Goo

Dressed in east-asian inspired outfits, the EB Babes opens Kahit Sino Pwede (and the show) dancing to the hit Korean pop song, "Nobody" by the Wonder Girls. Later on, in the jackpot round, Joey De Leon urges the contestant to pick among the girls. "Ang gaganda nyan," he says about them and then proceeds to make up a "status" for each of the girls holding the numbers. He labels Molly as "dalaga," Mergene as "naku, nakarami na, um-international na," Saida as "pinakamatindi sa lahat," Angel as "tahimik nguni't bugbugin", Mae as "controversial," Belle as "maraming naghahabol," and Joyce as "always available."

In Pinoy Henyo, EB Babes Ann and Saida joins the Dabarkads lineup, and both were picked to enter the chamber. None of the contestants got the correct answer so both of them got poured on with slimy goo.

Hopia in Pinoy Henyo

EB Babes Ann, Saida and Angel joins the rest of the Eat Bulaga dabarkads in Pinoy Henyo for the first time as part of the lineup that holds the prize money and may end up entering the chamber. None of their names got picked though.

Pia Guanio got the "immunity star" when her name was picked which allowed her to point to anyone to enter the chamber in her stead. Joey De Leon requests that an EB Babe be selected and Pia obliges, sending Ann to the chamber.

Meanwhile, in KaKaibang Bida (KKB), the EB Babes danced to Black Eyed Peas' "Rock Your Body" to open the segment, and in the jackpot round, Vic and Anjo kids Ann about the cellphones she sells.

Mga Pareng EB Babes

Eat Bulaga celebrates Father's Day with what they called "Dadbarkads Day", and in accordance with this theme, the EB Babes don men's office clothings and sport fake moustaches and goatees. In this get-up they participate in the production number, providing backup dancing to Pia and in KaKaibang Bida (KKB), they open with Pitbull's "Midnight" along with previous winners displaying their wares. In the jackpot round, Vic calls them "mga pareng EB Babes."

Also, in the Let's Vault In segments, we could see them playing roles: Joyce breaking a 9-ball rack, Madel sipping on a beer mug and Mae also shooting some pool.

And as it was Joyce's birthday (also Daiana's), she joins the lineup in Pinoy Henyo. Her name was never picked, though, and she got away without getting her birthday slime bath.
